Prism Propane constructing new operations facility, completion is expected in spring of 2020

Prism Propane Services of Ohio, LLC is constructing a new operations building located west of Hancock-Wood Electric headquarters in North Baltimore, Ohio. The design team for the building includes Clouse Construction (design build contractor) and Peterman & Associates (site engineer/architect) with the input from the management of Prism Propane and their President & COO, George Walton.

Prism Propane is currently operating out of the existing Hancock-Wood Electric headquarters. Walton says “Prism has outgrown its space in HWE’s headquarters, which initiated the construction of the operations facility. We anticipate Prism operations personnel will move into the new facility in late Spring 2020.” This new building is for operations purposes only. All Prism customer inquiries will be handled as it currently is, in the HWE office.

Clouse Construction is constructing the 12,000 SF Butler steel building (100’W x 120 L x22’eave), which is scheduled to be completed after final grading/seeding in the late Spring 2020. This facility will set on approximately seven acres of land. The operation’s building includes approximately 2,200 SF of office area, 1 large training room, 2 restrooms, and mech room. The remaining 9,800 sq. feet warehouse area will be utilized for a parts inventory system with storage bins, truck maintenance area, and storage of equipment used in Prism’s daily operation. A propane tank yard on the south side of the building will consist of a 54,000 SF stone lot for storage of company delivery vehicles and propane tanks, which will be fenced in with a motorized entry gate and 24 hr. camera surveillance system to provide security coverage for the facility. A detention pond located on the south of the property has been installed per EPA requirements.
